kyogoku daichi

[ TV time is sacred in the Kyogoku household. There's smaller TVs in most of the other rooms, but the best TV is for all the family to share. Typically, family meetings are held in this sort of common room.

Today, it's just a few members having some down time and watching television.

Daichi is on the couch, taking up a seat on the edge of the couch, asleep. Someone switched the channel from soccer to some sci-fi movie or something and he conked out at some point.

The TV's wide open for anyone to come change the channel, maybe someone's probably going to come bother you at any point in time before dinner to change the channel on you.

All we know for certain is that there is x1 old man on the couch for any tricksters around. ]

[And today — is Kyogoku tutoring day.]

[It would most definitely be a shame if one of the more prominent political families in Japan churned out a bunch of idiots (never mind the fact that it already has), which is why Grandpa Kyogoku set aside three days in every semester for everyone to catch up on their studies! Normally, they hire some retired teachers and professors to tutor the kids. And normally, those professors wind up growing a few more white hairs before the day is done.]

[Sadly, it seems like a freak snowstorm is preventing their highly qualified tutors from coming to the family estate in the mountains — so Reika's taken matters into her own hands, setting up a series of whiteboards in one of the common rooms. She sent out a text to everyone still enrolled in school, too!]

Our family study session will proceed as planned.
I don't want to hear about anyone fucking up their midterms.
If you don't show up or you score below the top 50 in your school,
I'll do things to your ass you didn't even know about.
I'll like it. You won't.
--REIKA

[She's just going to use one of the whiteboards for the time being, scrawling out a series of ridiculously complex calculations. You know, like physicists do in the movies. What's that all about?]
